This new illustration is inspired by the hope I see in children and young people—especially communities like the Wake Up Schools and Thich Nhat Hanh's School of Interbeing. 
In this piece, I've tried to capture some of these possibilities: children practicing walking meditation; communities gathered in mindfulness; and young people deeply connected to nature, to one another, and to those most in need. I imagine them cultivating gratitude, deep listening, and compassionate action—approaching power not as domination, as the art of caring for the world.
